She obtained her MBA from University of Texas in Austin (home of the entrepreneurial MOOT Corp, now Venture Labs Investment Corporation). During graduate school she co-founded the Minority Owned Business Consulting Organization (MOBC) to provide MBA graduate students with real world experience consulting with minority owned businesses in the community – a model now adopted by many colleges and universities today. Throughout her corporate career she continued to consult and coach entrepreneurs before going out on her own.
